How to Use the Go-To Step in GoHighLevel Workflows
By Marnix Geerkens. Published 2021-09-06. Updated 2026-06-02.
The Go-To workflow step lets a contact jump from one point in a workflow to another branch or step, without needing a separate workflow. You draw a connection from the Go-To step to any other step in the same workflow using the green dot connectors. This is useful for looping contacts through repeating sequences, like a monthly newsletter, without duplicating the steps.

Summary. GoHighLevel's Go-To step creates a jump connection between two points inside a single workflow. Once a contact hits the Go-To step, they move directly to whatever step the dotted line connects to, skipping everything in between. This is especially useful when building cyclical automations where contacts need to cycle through the same branches repeatedly over time.
Steps
Add a Go-To step
Click the plus icon in your workflow where you want the jump to happen. Search for Go To and select it. The step appears in your flow.
Draw the connection to your target step
Drag a line from the green dot on the Go-To step to the dark green dot on the step you want to jump to, or simply click the dark green dot on the target step and the line connects automatically.
Fix or remove a wrong connection
If you connected to the wrong step, click the pink unlink icon on the connection line, choose Remove Path, and then draw a new connection to the correct target.
