How to Configure Sub-Account Phone Settings in GoHighLevel

GoHighLevel's agency-level phone integration settings let you decide how new sub-accounts behave out of the box, covering A2P registration access, number intelligence, and SMS sending limits. Changes here apply only to sub-accounts created after you save them, not to existing ones. You reach these settings through Settings, Phone Integrations, then the Account Creation tab in your agency-level account.

Summary. From the Account Creation tab inside Phone Integrations, agency owners can control three things for every new sub-account: whether A2P registration is accessible when rebilling is off, whether number intelligence and validation are enabled automatically, and what the default daily or monthly SMS limit is. The messaging limit starts new sub-accounts in a ramp mode that increases gradually, or you can lock in a fixed ceiling. Individual sub-accounts can still have their limits adjusted after creation.

Steps

  1. Log into your agency account and open Phone Integrations

    Click Settings at the bottom left of the agency dashboard, then select Phone Integrations from the left menu.

  2. Select the Account Creation tab

    Click Account Creation at the top of the Phone Integrations page to access the default configuration options.

  3. Set A2P access and number intelligence preferences

    Toggle whether sub-accounts with rebilling off can still submit A2P registration, and choose whether number intelligence and validation are active by default on LC Phone sub-accounts.

  4. Choose a default messaging limit

    Select Ramp to let new sub-accounts start low and increase automatically, or select Limit and set a fixed number of messages per day or month. Click Update Limit to save.
