Use a GoHighLevel Workflow to Increase Conversions After a Call
By Marnix Geerkens. Published 2025-12-18. Updated 2026-06-02.
GoHighLevel has a built-in workflow recipe that sends your team a short internal email after each call. The email contains trigger links, one for each outcome like closed, showed but did not close, or no-show. Clicking the right link automatically moves the contact to the correct pipeline stage and queues up the appropriate follow-up sequence, all without touching the CRM manually.

Summary. The appointment confirmation workflow recipe in GoHighLevel includes a post-call survey mechanism that uses trigger links sent to your team. After a call or appointment, an internal email asks how it went. Clicking the matching trigger link tags the contact, updates the pipeline, and fires any downstream automation you configure, such as a review request for closed deals or a re-engagement sequence for no-shows. Trigger links are set up separately through a simple tracking website built in the GoHighLevel sites tool.
Steps
Find the workflow recipe
Go to Automations, then Create Workflow From a Template. Select the Appointment Confirmation Plus Reminder Plus Survey recipe.
Swap the trigger if needed
If you want to use this for outbound calls rather than booked appointments, replace the appointment trigger with a Call Status trigger and filter by call direction.
Build your three trigger links
In Sites, create a simple tracking links website with three pages: one for closed deals, one for showed but did not close, and one for no-shows. Each page button should click the corresponding trigger link.
Connect the links to the internal notification step
Open the internal notification action in the workflow and paste your three trigger links into the email body alongside clear labels. The workflow will wait for one of those links to be clicked before continuing.
