The Conversation Inbox in GoHighLevel is a unified messaging dashboard where all inbound messages from SMS, email, Facebook Messenger, Instagram DMs, Google Business Messages, WhatsApp, and live chat are collected so your team can respond from one place.

Without a unified inbox, messages from different channels end up in different apps. Someone texts you, someone else emails you, and a third person sends a Facebook message. You jump between apps, miss replies, and lose track of who said what.

The GoHighLevel Conversation Inbox pulls all of those channels together. Every message from every channel appears in one feed, grouped by contact. You can see the full conversation history including what the contact said, what your team replied, and what automated messages went out.

From the inbox, you can reply by any channel available for that contact. If they last messaged by SMS, you reply by SMS. If they are a Facebook lead, you respond through Facebook Messenger. GoHighLevel routes your reply through the right channel automatically.

How it works

Open the Conversations section in a sub-account. GoHighLevel shows a list of active conversations sorted by most recent. Click any conversation to open the thread. You see the full history on the right and reply using the text box at the bottom.

You can filter the inbox by channel (SMS only, email only, etc.), by status (unread, open, assigned), and by assignee (your conversations vs. all team conversations). This makes it manageable even for high-volume businesses.

Yes. When Conversation AI is enabled for a channel, it reads and replies to messages in the inbox. You can see the AI replies in the conversation thread and take over at any point.
