LC Email is GoHighLevel's native email sending infrastructure, built on Mailgun. It lets you send marketing emails, automation emails, and transactional messages directly from GoHighLevel without connecting a separate email service provider. You add a custom sending domain, verify it with DNS records, and GoHighLevel handles delivery. LC Email replaced direct Mailgun and SendGrid connections as the default approach.

Setting up your sending domain

To send email from GoHighLevel, you add a custom sending domain in the Email Services settings. For example, you might send from mail.yourbusiness.com. You add a few DNS records (SPF, DKIM, and DMARC) at your domain registrar and GoHighLevel verifies them.

Having a verified custom domain improves deliverability. Emails sent from your domain reach the inbox more reliably than emails sent from a shared GoHighLevel domain.

Usage costs

LC Email is billed per email sent. GoHighLevel provides a current per-email rate inside the billing settings. For moderate sending volumes, the cost is low. For high-volume senders (tens of thousands of emails per month), it is worth comparing the GoHighLevel per-email rate against standalone services.

The first small batch of emails per month is typically included free. After that, usage billing applies.

LC Email vs connecting your own ESP

Before LC Email, users often connected Mailgun, SendGrid, or another email service provider. That gave more control over sending infrastructure but added another account to manage.
