Steps

  1. Check regional eligibility

    Coexistence is not available in the UAE, the European Economic Area, the EU, or the UK, and it does not work for numbers registered in Australia, India, Japan, Nigeria, Philippines, Russia, South Korea, South Africa, or Turkey. Confirm your number qualifies before proceeding.

  2. Open WhatsApp settings in your sub-account

    Go to Settings in the bottom-left corner of your GoHighLevel sub-account. Select WhatsApp from the left menu. You will see the Connect WhatsApp Business App button.

  3. Start the onboarding wizard

    Click Connect WhatsApp Business App. Facebook will ask you to continue as yourself. Confirm and then click Get Started to link your WhatsApp Business account with LeadConnector.

  4. Fill in your business information and choose the integration type

    Complete the required business details in the wizard. When asked for an onboarding type, select Connect your existing WhatsApp Business App. This keeps your existing number active in both the app and the CRM.

  5. Enter and verify your phone number

    Type in the WhatsApp Business phone number you want to connect. The wizard will guide you through verifying ownership. Make sure the WhatsApp Business app on your phone is updated to the latest version before this step.

  6. Scan the QR code to complete the link

    The wizard will display a QR code. Open your WhatsApp Business app, find the message from the official business account, and scan the QR code to authorize the connection.

  7. Sync contacts and conversations

    After the QR step, confirm that contacts and conversation history should be shared with LeadConnector. The sync covers up to six months of history. Once complete, those conversations appear inside the GoHighLevel Conversations tab.

Tips

  • Templates can only be sent through GoHighLevel, not from the WhatsApp Business app after coexistence is set up.
  • Business profile updates (display name, profile photo, description) must still be made inside the WhatsApp Business app, not in GoHighLevel.
  • Each WhatsApp Business app can link only one phone number under the coexistence feature.
