In short
To connect Zoom to GoHighLevel, open Settings, find your user profile, and click Connect next to Zoom. Then edit your calendar and set its meeting location to Zoom. After that, every booked appointment auto-generates a unique Zoom meeting link. The link is added to your confirmation and reminder messages automatically.
- Connect Zoom once from your own user profile in Settings.
- Set the calendar meeting location to Zoom so links generate on booking.
- Zoom connects per user, so every team member on a shared calendar needs their own connection.
How do you connect Zoom to GoHighLevel?
Open Settings and go to your user profile. Look for the Zoom section and click Connect. A Zoom sign-in window opens. Log in to the Zoom account you want to use and approve access. GoHighLevel then shows Zoom as connected on your profile.
The connection is tied to one Zoom account and one GoHighLevel user. You do this once. You do not paste an API key or a meeting URL by hand.
A quick disclosure: rocketlauncher.ai is a live GoHighLevel showcase, and we earn a referral commission if you start GoHighLevel through our link. This guide is written from real setups on our own accounts.
How do you make a calendar create a Zoom link?
Connecting Zoom is only half the job. You also have to tell a calendar to use it. Open Calendars, edit the calendar you book with, and find the meeting location setting.
Set the meeting location to Zoom. Save the calendar. From now on, each time someone books that calendar, GoHighLevel asks Zoom to create a fresh meeting and stores the unique link on the appointment.
If the meeting location is still set to something else (like a physical address or a custom value), no Zoom link is created, even when Zoom is connected. The calendar setting is what turns it on.
Where does the Zoom link show up for the contact?
The Zoom link rides along with your existing appointment messages. It lands in the booking confirmation and in any appointment reminders you send by email or text.
GoHighLevel fills the link in through the appointment meeting location field, so you do not copy or paste it. Make sure your confirmation and reminder templates include the meeting location, or the contact will not see the link.
The same link also appears on the appointment inside GoHighLevel, so you and your team can open the meeting from the contact record.
Why is my Zoom link not generating?
The most common cause is the honest gotcha with this feature: Zoom links generate per user. The connection lives on one person's profile, not on the whole account. If the user who owns the calendar has not connected Zoom, no link is created.
Check three things in order. First, confirm Zoom is connected on the profile of the user who takes the booking. Second, confirm the calendar's meeting location is set to Zoom. Third, confirm your confirmation and reminder messages actually include the meeting location field.
If a Zoom connection expires or gets revoked, reconnect it from the same user profile. New bookings after that point will generate links again.
What changes for round-robin and team calendars?
Round-robin and team calendars spread bookings across several people. Because Zoom connects per user, each team member on that calendar needs their own Zoom connection.
When a booking is assigned to a person who has connected Zoom, the meeting is created on that person's Zoom account and the link is theirs. When a booking lands on a team member who has not connected Zoom, that appointment gets no link.
So the rule for shared calendars is simple: every person in the rotation connects Zoom from their own profile before you turn the calendar on. Miss one person, and only their bookings go out without a link.
A quick setup checklist
Run through this order and Zoom will work end to end. Connect Zoom on the user profile. Set the calendar meeting location to Zoom. Add the meeting location field to the confirmation and reminder templates. For round-robin or team calendars, connect Zoom for every person in the rotation. Then book a test appointment on yourself and confirm the link shows up in the confirmation.
Frequently asked questions
How do I connect Zoom to GoHighLevel?
Open Settings, go to your user profile, and click Connect next to Zoom. Sign in to your Zoom account and approve access. GoHighLevel then shows Zoom as connected. The connection is per user, so it lives on your profile, not the whole account.
Does GoHighLevel create a Zoom link for every appointment?
Yes, once two things are true. Zoom must be connected on the user's profile, and the calendar's meeting location must be set to Zoom. When both are set, each new booking auto-generates a unique Zoom meeting link on the appointment.
Where does the Zoom link appear for the person who booked?
The link is added to the booking confirmation and to appointment reminders sent by email or text. GoHighLevel fills it in through the appointment meeting location field, so the confirmation and reminder templates must include that field for the contact to see the link.
Why is my Zoom link not generating?
Usually one of three things is missing. The user who owns the booking has not connected Zoom, the calendar meeting location is not set to Zoom, or the confirmation and reminder messages do not include the meeting location field. Fix all three and links generate on new bookings.
Do round-robin and team calendars need extra setup for Zoom?
Yes. Zoom connects per user, so every team member in the rotation must connect their own Zoom account from their own profile. Bookings assigned to a person who has connected Zoom get a link. Bookings assigned to someone who has not get no link.
Can two GoHighLevel users share one Zoom account?
No. Each GoHighLevel user connects their own Zoom account, and the meeting is created on that account. If you want links on a shared calendar, connect a Zoom account for each person who can receive a booking on it.
Do I need a paid Zoom plan to connect it?
You connect Zoom with a normal Zoom login, and free Zoom accounts can be connected. Your Zoom plan sets its own meeting limits, like time caps on group calls. GoHighLevel does not change those limits; it only creates the meeting and stores the link.
What if I disconnect or reconnect Zoom later?
Reconnect from the same user profile in Settings. New appointments booked after you reconnect will generate Zoom links again. Meetings created before a disconnection keep the link they already had on the appointment.
