GoHighLevel Communities is a feature that lets you run a branded online community inside your account. Members join your community, post in channels, join groups, and interact in a space you control under your own brand. It is similar in concept to Skool or Facebook Groups, but it lives inside GoHighLevel so you can connect it directly to your automations, membership products, and CRM. Communities is available on the Unlimited and Pro plans.

What a community looks like

A GoHighLevel community has a feed, channels (topics or categories), and direct messaging. Members have profiles and can interact with posts from others.

You can have multiple groups inside one community, for example a public group and a private group for paying members only. Access to private groups can be gated behind a paid membership product.

Connecting to CRM and automations

Because it lives inside GoHighLevel, community actions can trigger workflows. When someone joins the community, a workflow can tag them, assign them to a pipeline, or send a welcome sequence.

This is the key advantage over external community tools: your community members are already in your CRM and you can treat them like any other contact.

How it compares to Skool and Facebook Groups

Skool is a purpose-built community platform with a clean user experience and gamification features. Facebook Groups are free but you have no control over the algorithm or data.
