What GoHighLevel Funnels does

GHL Funnels is a page builder designed for marketing flows. A funnel is a sequence of pages: typically a landing page, an opt-in or order page, an upsell page, and a thank-you page.

The builder is drag-and-drop. You add sections, rows, and elements (text, images, video, buttons, forms, countdown timers, testimonials, order bumps) and arrange them on the page. Templates are available for common funnel types.

Every form on a funnel page captures the contact into the GHL CRM. Tags get added automatically. A workflow can fire the moment someone opts in, starting a follow-up sequence within seconds.

Order forms are built in. You can accept one-time payments, subscriptions, and free trials directly on a funnel page, with Stripe or Square as the processor. Order bumps and upsell pages let you increase the average order value after the initial purchase.

Types of funnels you can build

Lead magnet funnel: a landing page offering a free guide, checklist, or video in exchange for an email address. The contact goes into the CRM and a welcome sequence starts.

VSL (video sales letter) funnel: a long-form page with a video that builds the case for an offer, followed by an order form below the fold.

Appointment funnel: a landing page that goes directly to a calendar booking widget. Good for service businesses where the goal is a booked call, not a form fill.

Webinar funnel: a registration page for a live or automated webinar, with a reminder sequence built in.

Application funnel: a landing page with a qualifying application form before showing the offer page. Common for high-ticket coaching and agency services.

E-commerce funnel: a product page with an order form, an upsell page (add the premium version), and a thank-you page with a referral offer.

GHL Funnels vs ClickFunnels

ClickFunnels is a dedicated funnel builder that starts at $97/mo for basic features and goes up to $297/mo. It does not include a CRM, calendars, SMS, email, reputation management, courses, or any of the other tools GHL includes.

GHL Funnels covers most of what ClickFunnels does for funnel building, but it sits inside a platform that also handles CRM, email, SMS, voice AI, reputation, and more. For most agencies and service businesses, one GHL plan replaces ClickFunnels plus five or six other tools.

ClickFunnels has a larger template library and a more established community for funnel hacking. GHL catches up with Snapshot imports, where you can load a complete proven funnel with all the pages, emails, and workflows pre-built.

How to build a funnel in GoHighLevel

Go to Sites, then Funnels, and click New Funnel. Give it a name and choose a template or start blank.

Add your first step: the landing page. The editor opens. Drag elements from the left panel onto the canvas. Click any element to edit the text, styling, or settings.

Set up the form element to capture the fields you need (name, email, phone). Choose what happens on submit: move to next step, redirect to a URL, or trigger a workflow.

Add more funnel steps for your order form, upsell page, or thank-you page. Each step is a separate page in the flow.

Connect a custom domain or use the free GHL subdomain to publish. Test the funnel end to end: fill out the form, confirm the contact appears in the CRM, and confirm the workflow fires.

Frequently asked questions

How many funnel pages can I build in GoHighLevel?

GHL does not publish a hard limit on funnel or page count. You can build as many funnels and pages as you need on any plan.

Can I use my own domain for GHL funnels?

Yes. You connect a custom domain in Settings under Domains. You can also use the free GHL subdomain if you do not have a custom domain yet.

Does GoHighLevel funnel builder work for e-commerce?

Yes, for single-product or small-catalog setups. GHL order forms handle one-time purchases, subscriptions, and free trials. For large product catalogs with inventory management, a dedicated e-commerce platform like Shopify is a better fit.

Can I import a ClickFunnels funnel into GoHighLevel?

Not directly via import. You would rebuild the funnel in GHL. Many GHL Snapshots include pre-built funnels for common niches, which is often faster than rebuilding from scratch.

Does GHL include A/B testing for funnels?

GHL has split testing capability for funnel pages. You can create variants and set a traffic split to test which version converts better.

Can GHL funnels accept payments?

Yes. Connect Stripe or Square in your GHL settings. Order forms on funnel pages can accept one-time payments, subscriptions, and free trial offers.
