Review a website before release

Use this when a website change looks finished but still needs a repeatable review. The skill asks your coding assistant to inspect the actual change, run the existing preview and record what it can prove. It does not install a browser or replace your repository rules.

Compatibility

Claude Code project skill. Requires an existing website repository and its own browser/test tools.

How to use it

Download SKILL.md and read its instructions before installing it.
Create .claude/skills/website-review/ in the project, then place SKILL.md in that folder. Do not overwrite an existing skill with the same name.
Open Claude Code in the project and invoke /website-review. Give it the changed route and the local preview command.
Review the report, fix confirmed defects and repeat the affected checks before release.

What you get

You should receive findings with a route, reproduction steps, evidence and a clear list of checks that remain open.

Limits

The file is a review procedure, not an automated accessibility certification.
Browser and test access depend on your installed tools. A passing build does not prove a working user flow.
The downloaded instructions are in English. They do not authorize publication.

# Website review

Read the repository instructions and inspect the diff before changing files.
Identify the changed routes and their callers. Preserve unrelated work.
Start the existing local preview using the repository's documented command.
Check a changed detail page as well as the homepage at desktop and narrow mobile widths.
Use the keyboard to reach every changed control. Check visible focus, Escape and focus restoration for dialogs.
Follow one successful flow and one failure or empty-result flow. Refresh a deep link.
Check the initial HTML for the page title, canonical, main content and structured data.
Run the project's relevant tests. Report exact commands, observed results and unverified external behavior.
Do not deploy, submit forms to real customers, spend money or change production without explicit authorization.
