Compatibility
Plain Markdown instructions for a Codex project. Merge into existing AGENTS.md after review; not a Claude plugin.
How to use it
- Download the Markdown template and compare it with your current AGENTS.md.
- Merge only relevant instructions into the project file. Keep more specific security and release rules.
- Write a short handoff with the current branch, unfinished work and exact verification commands.
- Start a new session and ask it to confirm the handoff against the actual files before editing.
Example
What you get
The next session can identify the current state and run the same checks without guessing.
Limits
- This file supplies instructions, not permissions or access to tools.
- It does not make model output deterministic. Review code and test evidence.
- Do not paste credentials or customer records into a handoff.

# Project handoff checklist
Before work, read AGENTS.md and the current handoff. Inspect git status and the active branch. Preserve uncommitted work.
Record the objective, current behavior, affected routes and files, relevant commands, and release boundary.
Implement the smallest complete change using existing project patterns. Inspect callers before changing a shared interface.
Run the appropriate local checks. Distinguish source review, unit tests, browser evidence, provider evidence and production behavior.
At handoff, record changed files, commands and results, known failures, next steps and rollback. Never record credentials, tokens or personal customer data.
Do not claim completion while required checks remain unresolved. Do not publish or push to production without explicit authorization.Status
Version 1.0.0, updated 2026-10-09. Review status: reviewed. Original instructions reviewed and file structure validated locally. Client installation and account-specific execution are not certified.
